Account information
When you create a Linkos account, we collect:
- Email address and password
- Profile information (name, bio, profile picture)
- Username and custom domain preferences
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe)
Content information
To provide our link-in-bio services, we store:
- Links, titles, and descriptions you add
- Custom themes and styling preferences
- Uploaded images and media files
- Page customization settings
Analytics information
To help you understand your audience, we collect:
- Click data on your links (anonymized)
- Visitor location data (country/city level only)
- Device and browser information
- Referrer information (where visitors came from)
Free tools usage data
When you use a free tool on linkos.bio/tools/* (QR Code Generator, Link Preview Tester, Bio Generator, URL Shortener, Markdown / Notion / LinkedIn → Bio, Thread → Post, Markdown → PDF, HTML Viewer), we log what you submit so we can improve the tools and understand demand. Specifically:
- URLs you submit to Link Preview Tester, QR Generator, URL Shortener, Notion → Bio, and Thread → Post (with tracking parameters stripped).
- Aggregate counts of text you submit to Bio Generator, Markdown → Bio, and Markdown → PDF — word-count bucket, number of links, number of headings. We do not store the actual text you wrote.
- Niche / tone / theme selections you make in Bio Generator and Markdown → PDF.
- File size (not file contents) of LinkedIn data exports you upload.
- HTML Viewer: a page-view event when you open the tool. The HTML itself never reaches our servers — preview and persistence are 100% client-side.
- Outcome (success / error / error reason), runtime, and country (no city for tool events).
Raw tool-usage events are deleted within 90 days of collection. Aggregate statistics (e.g. “total link previews this month”) may be retained indefinitely. We do not sell or share this data with third parties. If you'd like a copy or want it deleted sooner, email privacy@linkos.bio.
Outbound partner backlink clicks
When you click a partner link on linkos.bio/more-products or any other page that links out to a third-party product we recommend, the click routes through linkos.bio/api/out/<partner> before redirecting you to the partner site. We log:
- The partner slug (e.g. “e-timologio”) and the linkos.bio page that sent the click.
- A hashed IP (so we can count unique clickers without identifying you) plus country and region from request headers. No city.
- Timestamp and outcome (redirect / error).
We do not share these click logs with the partner — they get the visit via standard UTM parameters in the URL, the same way any referral link works. Outbound-click events are deleted within 90 days, same as other tool-usage data.

Access and export
You can access and export all your data through your account settings, including profile information, links, and analytics data.
Account deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Marketing communications
You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link or updating your preferences.
GDPR rights (EU/EEA users)
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right to rectification — You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data
- Right to restrict processing — You can request that we limit how we use your data in certain circumstances
- Right to data portability — You can receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format
- Right to object to processing — You can object to processing of your personal data for direct marketing or based on legitimate interests

Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we may retain certain data for up to 30 days for backup purposes before permanent deletion.
