Sign up free →Sponsorship rate calculator — what to charge per post by audience size
Plug in followers + engagement + niche → get a defensible rate card based on 2026 industry medians.
What's inside
- 3-tier output per format — Floor, fair, ceiling — for 5 post types
- Niche-aware medians — Beauty pays differently than B2B
- Engagement adjustment — High-ER pages earn more than the median
- Save as PDF rate card — Send to brands as your opening anchor
Most creators underprice their first ten brand deals by 40–60%. The reason isn't pride or fear of negotiation — it's that the rate card never existed. When the brand asks "what do you charge?", you guess. The brand has data; you have a hunch. They win.
This calculator builds your rate card in 30 seconds. Use it as the opening number in every conversation.
What you'll get
Plug in three numbers — niche, follower count, engagement rate — and the calculator returns a 3-tier rate (floor / fair / ceiling) for 13 post formats across 6 platforms:
- Instagram — single post · carousel · reel · story
- TikTok — post
- YouTube — integration (60s) · dedicated video
- X (Twitter) — single post · sponsored thread
- Newsletter — dedicated send · blurb / placement
- Podcast — pre-roll (60s) · mid-roll (90s)
Each format gets three numbers in USD. You read across, save the table, and stop guessing.
What the three tiers actually mean
The biggest trap with rate sheets is treating "fair" like the maximum. It's not.
- Floor (p25) — the lowest defensible number. The 25th percentile of creators in your niche + tier charge less than this. Use only when negotiating with first-time clients you really want, or when the brand is unusually valuable to your audience.
- Fair (p50) — the median. This is your opening number. Half of creators in your tier charge more, half charge less. Open here in every conversation; drop only with clear reason (long-term contract, exclusivity constraints loosened).
- Ceiling (p75) — the 75th percentile. What top performers earn. Justified by strong portfolios, premium audiences, exclusivity windows, or usage rights upgrades. If your work checks those boxes, open here instead.
How we built the medians
We cross-referenced three public 2026 industry rate-card datasets (the most-cited industry reports + the SocialBakers + Influencer Marketing Hub Q2 release), normalized everything to USD at end-of-quarter rates, then filtered to creators with comparable engagement bands so a 5% niche doesn't get lumped with a 0.5% niche.
The Linkos creator-network adds anonymous aggregates that fill the gaps on smaller niches (e.g. dev tools, parenting) where the public datasets are thin.
Engagement adjusts the whole rate. 4% is the industry baseline — above that boosts your number, below discounts it. We cap the multiplier at 0.6×–1.8× so an outlier engagement rate doesn't print impossible numbers.
Rates drift 5-8% YoY. We revisit the medians every quarter.
How to use the numbers in a real negotiation
Generated rate is just the anchor. Five moves that bend the final number:
- Bundle for a 10–15% multi-post discount when asked. Brands love package deals; concede on the percentage, not on the per-post rate.
- Add 30–50% for exclusivity windows. "We won't post for a competitor for 90 days" is worth a third more on the deal.
- Add 20–30% for usage rights. "Brand can repost on their channels for 12 months" is paid content masquerading as organic.
- Drop to floor only for first-time creators in their roster. Use the trade as leverage: "I'll come in at floor this round; let's re-up at fair on the next."
- Send the rate card AS A PDF. Calculator has a "Save as PDF" function. Brands take a sourced document more seriously than a number in an email.

What this calculator won't do
It won't tell you when to walk. That's a judgment call based on the brand's prestige, the format match, and your gut. Use the numbers as anchors; let your taste close the deal.
It also won't account for niche-within-niche differences (a B2B founder posting to other founders is different from a B2B consultant posting to enterprise execs). The medians get you within 20% of the right answer; the last 20% is local knowledge.
